Job Description

Cricut is looking for a passionate and talented Senior Revenue Staff Accountant to be a key contributor to our Finance Organization. You will be responsible for the day-to-day, monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting operations. This may include preparing journal entries, building monthly/quarterly reports, and managing the cycle of accounting tasks including audits, close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. In this role, you will actively contribute to developing and maintaining strong accounting practices that will be critical to Cricut’s ability to scale as an SEC reporting company. Presently, we are working remotely; however, when safe to return to the office, this position will be based in our main corporate headquarters in South Jordan, Utah.

  • Understand and report the accounting for Revenue (reconciliations, journal entries, etc.)
  • Actively participate in accounting for both the contractual and non-contractual arrangements with the Company’s customers
  • Complete the required steps on behalf of the finance department in the new customer setup and review process
  • Contribute to the Controller group with projects as assigned
  • Document and define technical processes using accounting guidance from various sources
  • Write complex accounting memorandums where necessary
  • Develop an understanding and expertise of Cricut’s internal controls over financial reporting
  • Contribute to the preparation of schedules and supporting documents for external audits as performed by the outside accounting firm

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required, Master’s Degree a plus
  • 4-5+ years of accounting experience; Public accounting experience is strongly preferred
  • CPA preferred, but not required
  • Understand in depth and complex processes, especially related to revenue and inventory accounting
  • Experience understanding the accounting environments of companies within the consumer products and technology industries
  • Experience and advancedcompetencywith Excel
  • Accounting information systems experience a plus (ideally SAP)
  • Proven track record of excelling within team environments
