Job Description
Data scientist team lead involved in the execution of analytics and business intelligence activities with the objective of gaining insights in various process of the client’s business to unlock value in various forms. The role is a combination of Business analytics & Data analytics. The Data Scientist role is focused on taking insights derived from data and applying them "on the ground" by making business decisions and communicating with stakeholders. The Data Scientist role is focused on using programs, data, and computational tools to explore and discover relevant insights in big data (predominantly to support the Business analytics role).
Technical Activities (Data analytics role)
Working with big data in its various facets; - Database design, Data mining & Extraction of data. - Transformation and formulation of data to form business logic (Eg. SQL, Python – Pandas & NumPy,ML and predictive modeling) - Visulization and interpretation of data (Eg Power Bi) - Understanding of statistical methods - Use of R and/or SAS languages or Pandas - Matplotlib - Programming skills
Client facing activities (Business analytics role)
Statistical analysis software understanding - Business intelligence and reporting - Analytic problem solving - Effective communication - Creative thinking - Engaging with stakeholders to source data and understand requirements of output. - Drawing up scope documents and facilitating the said scope with project stakeholders.Participating and facilitating workshops with project stakeholders in the persuit of developing an output. - Presentation of final deliverables.
Qualifications
Succesfully completed Business Analytics, Data Science, Engineering or Intelligence Related degree
