Job Description

As a Projects procurement management specialist, you will setup standardised procurement plans and models for projects.

As part of your role, you will also,

  • Guide project (procurement) managers in setting up the procurement process and plan procurement throughout the individual project processes
  • Manage tracking of procurement activities across the Project Management Offices and align with Procurement
  • Analyse delays in project procurement to identify improvement potential in the process and compile integrated reports on procurement progress for all projects in scope

This role is at our Johannesburg corporate office, at aBand 6 level reporting to theHead of SIB Execution.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant procurement qualification
  • Registered Professional Quantity Surveyor, with the South African Council for Quantity Surveyors - advantageous

Experience:

  • 5 years' experience in Supply Chain Management within the mining and process industry
  • Must have experience with Ms Suite with extensive excel background
  • Advanced management of work packages across a portfolio of project
  • Must be proficient in developing and implementing integrated solutions to maximize value and ensure productivity
  • Emerging proficiency in the practical application of the Operating Model (workflows, configurations, routines)
  • Must be a procurement specialist, dealing with multiple projects and have technology mapping across multiple projects
