Job Description

You will lead the South Asia team (pre-sales, sales and account management, customer success and marketing functions) to meet our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives in the market, overseeing commercial growth and the leadership of team members. You will be responsiblefor developing and executing key growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans required to achieve your financial targets, taking the lead on ensuring the smooth running of the regional set up.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base in your territory. Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets
  • Inspire the local team to new heights by; managing team performance, agreeing clear goals and targets, reviewing performance formally and informally, giving feedback, course correction, motivation and enabling recognition.
  • Liaise and build relationships with governmental and national organisations to promote the Turnitin brand and further opportunities
  • Analyze market, industry and customers to identify sales opportunities and issues and prepare concrete plans and campaigns, strategic and tactical, to address such issues and realise opportunities
  • Organize sales areas according to business volume and opportunities for growth
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting key customer relationships
  • Directly and through your team, partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Ensure your team are following established Tii ways of working/process and procedures
  • Monitor CRM systems to track performance – giving reports and updates to the RVP APAC as required.
  • Enable the development of individual team members, delivering coaching and guidance as needed to enable them to achieve their full potential.
  • Ensure your team are engaged in both the team and wider company strategy, goals and purpose – through regular communication and meets/events
  • Actively progress own personal development.

Qualifications

  • Territory and team build out for the long term (proven experience)
  • Proven experience of handling multimillion dollar business responsibility
  • 5+ yrs. Proven sales experience, consistently meeting/ exceeding targets
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Experience of the Indian Education System and government organisations a huge advantage
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services and position them against competitors
  • Demonstrable experience in developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
  • General understanding of the information industry and/or technology sales.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Polished Confident, public speaking/making presentations to audiences ranging in size from one to several hundred people.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
