The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Procurementteam at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility as a Business Analyst. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.

Being a key member of the procurement team, you will play an important role in providing analytical support to a wide variety of business projects and reporting. With a focus on helping the business to improve our environmental impact and sustainability across BlueScope’s global footprint, you will actively participate in innovation and improvement projects. Working closely with internal stakeholders you will have exposure to multiple areas of the business and ongoing learning opportunities.

What Will You Do?

  • provide analytical and project administration support for sourcing projects and contract reporting
  • track and interpret numerical data as well as pricing intelligence
  • provide market intelligence, data collection, reporting, modelling and analysis to informthe decision-making process
  • participate in and lead innovation and improvement projects

More About You

With an enthusiasm to grow and develop yourself in the role, you will have:

  • a Bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, business or similar field
  • sound Excel knowledge (e.g. macros and models) and proficiency across the entire MS Office suite
  • demonstrable ability to draw insightsout of large volumes of data from varying sources
  • an interest inmacro-economic, global and environmental indicators impacting business
  • the ability to engage with different stakeholders to build your knowledge and understanding
