Maxim Healthcare is looking for an Evening Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to assume responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care.

The Evening Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will consistently perform according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.

Maxim is looking for reliable, compassionate, team-oriented nurses to provide total one on one care with patients in Antioch, TN, and the surrounding areas.

This position focuses on feeding tube care, repositioning, and deep suctioning with a young adult patient that is non ambulatory and nonverbal.

Other patients range from infant to geriatric, with skills ranging from home ventilators to catheterizations. We do provide pediatric, ventilator and trach training.

Shifts for this case are three hours from 8p-11p. Shifts with other patients may range from 3 hours to 12 hours long. Pay is competitive as well as WEEKLY.

Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.

Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.

Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and / or potential nursing diagnoses.

Documents the patient’s plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.

Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the hospital policies and patient care outcome standard.

Revises the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, and effective / ineffective nursing interventions.

Uses clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs of an assigned unit / floor including establishing priorities.

Other RN (Registered Nurse) or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Current, unencumbered state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

Minimum one year of Registered Nurses (RN) or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) experience required with home health experience preferred

Current CPR certification

Copy of updated Physical, based on state requirements for Registered Nurses (RN) or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

Copy of updated TB results / Chest x-ray

Reliable transportation
