Description: 1) Can you please provide a summary of the project/initiative which describes what's being done? a. We are divesting a business by selling to another company. These roles will be in support of the transition of the current infrastructure as well as perform project work that helps us separate the businesses and combine with the new. The contract may continue with the acquiring company at their discretion. 2) What does the ideal candidate background look like (ex: healthcare specific background, etc.)? We want to be as specific as possible with our firms so they can find the type of candidate you're looking for. a. Does not have to be healthcare related. Really want deep technical skills and abilty to communicate and get along in a fast paced environment under stress. 3) Of the required skills listed, which would you consider the top 3? Please list your expectations regarding years of experience for each requirement. Internet Protocol (IP) routing, Firewall, Load Balancing 4) What experience will set candidates apart from one another? a. Deep technical knowledge in at least 2 of the named technologies. Experience running mergers and integrations in a data center. 5) Are you open to candidates that would need to be 100% remote for the duration of the engagement? a. Yes. 6) What does the team structure look like how many members and what is the break-down of the team's skill sets (ex: 1 PM, 4 Developers, etc.)? a. There is a cross functional team of about 8 being formed. In addition to these 5 contract positions there are 5 people migrating to the acquiring company that already know the landscape. This is 3 DBA's, and two Operations persons. 7) What does the interview process look like? a. How many rounds? No more than two b. Video vs. phone? Video so we can at least validate that the person interviewing is the person that shows up. c. How technical will the interviews be? Very. Probably 80% tech, 20% behavioral d. When do you anticipate starting the interview process? Would like to start by Aug 22 Responsibilities: The Senior Network Engineer will be primarily responsible for the maintenance and support efforts of the Curaspan network The Senior Network Engineer will support efforts in the entire network stack - from WAN, firewalls, routing, switching and load balancing The role is primarily support oriented; however, some project-based work will be required on an ad-hoc basis This role will work closely with various departments within the Curaspan organization to ensure internal SLAs are met with a high degree of user satisfaction Support and implement client (B2B) tunnels including working directly with clients Support and manage circuit vendors Identify infrastructure and security issues and develop plans to fix or report to the relevant teams Day to day support of the production application infrastructure as well as design and implementation of integration to parent company. Participate in security compliance efforts (HIPAA, HITRUST, etc.) Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives and timelines Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors, to provide technical assistance and support Troubleshoot malfunctions of network hardware and software applications and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services Perform any other duties as assigned by management Work location may be a combination of one-site and remote work from home. You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in Qualifications: 3+ years of route/switch experience, preferably with Cisco (Nexus, Catalyst) 3+ years of Firewall management experience, specifically with Cisco ASAs and Palo Alto devices Experience working with F5 BigIP load balancers, specifically LTM Experience with log monitoring and analysis, using tools such as Elasticsearch, Splunk, or LogInsight Experience working in a cross-functional team made up of other infrastructure engineers Solid NAT and IPSEC configuration experience Ability to write and/or modify simple scripts, using scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc Work extended or off-hours, when necessary, in order to address unforeseen issues and/or to see a project or task to completion Occasional travel required as needed to remote offices and datacenters Other relevant skills could include: Linux and Windows operating systems DNS, DHCP, other LAN protocols TLS and certificate management Experience in public cloud platforms - AWS, Azure, GC
