Role Overview :
The Coding QualityTeam Leader remotely supervises a high-performing Coding Quality Specialists. The Coding QualityTeam Leader assists the Coding Quality Manager with daily activities to support Coding Services Operations.
The Coding QualityTeam Leaders is accountable for monitoring and maintaining daily schedules, trackers, and staff productivity.
The Coding QualityTeam Leader collaborates in creating training materials and documentation for Centauri’s software modules.
The Coding QualityTeam Leader assists in coding of medical records as needed.
Role Responsibilities :
Supervise a team of up to 12 remote coding quality specialists for assigned coding projects and campaigns
Build a collaborative and supportive working environment
Monitor and maintain assigned coding quality specialists’ daily trackers and weekly schedules including PTO approvals and payroll related activities
Monitor daily coding quality specialist productivity and accuracy
Assist Coding Services Supervisor with billing and invoice approvals and reconciliations for assigned coders where applicable
Assist Coding Quality Manager in completing and providing weekly coder report cards
Assist in providing feedback and education to assigned coders based upon quality review
Assist with coding of medical records as needed
Handle other related duties as required or assigned
Understand and agree to role-specific information security access and responsibilities
Ensure safety and confidentiality of data and systems by adhering to the organizations information security policies
Read, understand and agree to security policies and complete all annual security and compliance training
Role Requirements :
1+ year of experience in a similar leadership role
3+ years recent coding experience with at least 1 of those years in Risk Adjustment coding
Current core coding credential through AHIMA or AAPC (RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CIC, etc.) AND AAPC CRC (Certified Risk Adjustment Coder) coding certification
Strong Project Management competencies and experience
Risk Adjustment experience
Strong organizational skills
Technical savvy with high level of competence in Microsoft products along with intermediate Excel skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
High School Diploma
Completion of an accredited medical coding program is highly desired, but not required
