If you possess a “whatever it takes attitude” keep reading.This role is part of the Clinical Applications & Delivery team and will participate in the planning, organization, and enhancement of clinical application workflow and content at Premise Health Centers. The Clinical Application Director interfaces & collaborates with Implementations, Operations, Client Reporting, Business Intelligence, IT, Billing & Coding, Growth, and Medical Leadership teams. Additionally, the Clinical Applications Program Director acts as a liaison on clinical applications with stakeholders, user departments and work efforts by contributing departments, management and vendors. This position coordinates the central source of communications for clinical applications upgrades / updates / new products and workflow releases, roadmaps and supporting processes. Risk identification and mitigation is an important facet of this role where the Clinical Applications Program Director works with contributing teams to identify and help mitigate risks to clinical applications projects successes. This Director is also manages the vendor relationship in conjunction with their AVP.What You’ll Do for Us:

Ensures all understand upgrade / update / release cycles and dates

Identifies and communicates challenges between departments as they relate to meeting milestones to success

Coordinates meetings and workshops for items related to clinical applications upgrades / updates / releases

Escalates impacting challenges to vendor and management

Recommends expectations and timeline resets based on resource constraints, conflicting projects, unrealistic timelines, budget issues, etc. based on collected inputs

Supports established governance processes and recommends appropriate pathways for modification requests and decisions

Ensure relevant standards, regulations and processes are upheld

Works in conjunction with project managers as assigned to clinical applications projects

Works with Quality Assurance to ensure clinical applications is providing appropriate test scenarios / scripts, workflow definition, documentation, access, etc.

Works with department leaders, vendors and project managers (where applicable) to help develop cohesive and thoughtful implementation plans for new releases; ensure alignment on implementation schedules

Assist in capturing requirements for work efforts when necessary

Assist in identifying and coordinating pilot test users and health centers, when appropriate

Capture and work to align timeliness of each department to ensure target dates are agreeable across teams

Organize programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization

Identify opportunities for continual improvement

Ensure all clinical applications workstreams are in sync and moving in the same direction

Establishes a communication plan for stakeholders, user departments, contributing departments, supporting departments, management and vendors

Establishes a central input mechanism for collecting information to be communicated

Ensure pertinent information is shared with appropriate departments in a timely manner

Develops and distributes progress reports / dashboards, risks, successes, roadmaps, etc.

Makes recommendations for contributions to the Emagine Express and other communications

Escalated and communicate risks appropriately

Develop and communicate end user input mechanisms for release cycles

Collects and reports on individual team efforts that are a collaborative to the clinical applications (for example, lists of imports / exports, end user exception requests, number of visit types, support tickets by team, etc.); trend reporting

Develop and manage integrated master control schedule / roadmap for clinical applications

Collaborate with analysts, developers, quality assurance, support, training and vendors to identify risks and mitigation plans

Recommend adjustments to upgrade / update / release / implementation plans accordingly; collaborate with stakeholders and leaders on resolution

Document identified risks and mitigation plans; make publicly available

Identify and capture dependencies that impact clinical applications upgrades / updates / releases

Understand how different projects interlink and overlap

Schedule Management - consisting of activity definition and sequencing, resource estimating, duration estimating, schedule development, and schedule control activities; working with workstream leaders and project managers (when assigned)

Scope Management - consisting of program initiation, scope planning, scope definition and scope change control activities

Primary point of contact with vendors as it relates to upgrades / updates / new releases / new products; this excludes normal support and departmental inquiries required to perform daily tasks and support

Participates in special projects as needed

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

Requires PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification

Experience:

Minimum seven (7) years of project / program management experience, at least three (2) years of which is in the healthcare industry

Experience must include increasingly responsible experience in managing large, complex projects and activities

Requires prior Epic application upgrade / update / deployment experience

Occupational Health project management experience a plus

Exposure to IT Project Management and Employer Sponsored Health is preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong program management abilities including: the ability to motivate and direct in a highly complex and rapidly changing environment

Exceptional communication skills including experience communicating and collaborating with all levels of staff including direct reports, senior leaders, business partners, and vendors to ensure productivity, efficiency, and service excellence.

Demonstrated ability to establish and build strong relationships across a broad range of personality types

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clinical and information technology personnel verbally and in writing

Demonstrated active listening skills, including the ability to listen, comprehend, retain information, and respond appropriately to leaders or other team members

Mature understanding of the application(s) relevant to CAD

Self-starter, highly motivated, needs minimal direction to perform core duties and responsibilities

An understanding of, enthusiasm for, and commitment to CAD goals

Exhibits energy and enthusiasm for the role, responsibilities, and related day-to-day opportunities and challenges

Ability to delegate tasks and enlist the cooperation and/or assistance of others either inside or outside of CAD

Experience in leading complex projects

Exceptional organizational skills including the ability to oversee multiple projects and activities simultaneously

Complex problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and analytical skills

Advanced computer skills
