Retains existing client base by providing exceptional service and experiences. Directly manages Assistant Sales Managers and sales processes.CANDIDATE PROFILEEducation and Experience High School Diploma or GED; 2 years’ experience in Hospitality Sales, Spa Sales or a comparable professional areaOR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Sales, or related major; 1 year experience in Hospitality Sales, Spa Sales or a comparable professional areaCORE WORK ACTIVITIESManaging Sales Operations Represents Wildhorse at local shows and conventions. Contacts local hotels and businesses via email, letters, networking or visits. Specializes in large group business and long term bookings. Communicates the details of the above to the appropriate departments in a timely manner. Verifies that every detail for event is on event order for banquet staff, culinary, production and outside vendors as well as clients. Coordinates and implements familiarization tours and site visits. Follows the established standard operating procedures. Represents Wildhorse as chair and member of City affiliated committees. Develops sales tools for menus and packages for market segment as needed.Maintaining Exceptional Customer Service Services clients by arranging contracts between the Wildhorse Saloon and the reserving party. Services clients by up-selling menu and additional amenities to include décor, entertainment, production and food and beverage. Meets or exceed client expectations from booking until completion. Negotiates terms with client and vendors. Meets and greets clients onsite as needed. Creates and proposes events to clients with WOW factor while meeting or exceeding food and beverage cost with Chef. Maintains accurate, legible records and files to provide client history, verify future and current quality of service and enhance future prospects.Supporting Sales Team Works closely with Executive Meetings, Sales, Sales and Sales Managers at Destination Nashville to verify that groups are coming to the Wildhorse Saloon. Works closely with other hotels and attractions. Directs, evaluates, and mentors sales team and banquet department to establish and exceed goals. Maintains concert calendar with General Manager to coordinate bookings for club.Achieving Departmental Goals Maintains a good working knowledge and relationship of major competitors in the assigned markets. Maintains a good public image of the Wildhorse Saloon in the community by attending related social, industry, and community functions as well as membership in industry related organizations. Attends staff and departmental meetings frequently and as needed in order to maintain current on product information, to create positive department visibility, and to develop and enhance internal relationships and rapport with fellow employees. Creates strategies and objectives with General Manager and Operations Team to enhance overall operations with emphasis on banquets and events.Maximizing Revenue Meets the established bookings, revenue and solicitation quotas. Completes all reports required by the designated due date including monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasts, Pace of sales revenues. Follows the solicitation program established by Department to generate new leads. Maintains lost/dead account files. Utilizes and maintains a trace system. Enters and maintains all accounts into daylight and track accounts payable/receivables. Coordinates with banquet department to verify proper labor costs for events.Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities Interviews, selects and trains employees. Directs the work of employees. Sets and adjusts employees’ rates of pay and hours of work. Handles employee complaints and executes disciplinary action as needed. Evaluates employee’s productivity and efficiency for the purpose of recommending promotions or other changes in status.
