DEVSECOPS ENGINEER Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a DevSecOps Engineer for a contract position in Chattanooga, TN. Opportunity will be four Months with a strong chance for a long-term extension. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Use and support release, work, and defect management tools Mentor and support less experienced members of the team and SDLC community.
- Monitor incoming request and problem queues and respond or assign as appropriate.
- Manage project and application-level work areas, user access, and team/role setup.
- Monitor system utilization and proactively plan for growth by addressing architectural, licensing, or capacity needs before they impact availability or performance.
- Troubleshoot performance, stability, or capacity problems to determine root cause and work closely with external vendor support and internal operational and readiness teams to communicate progress and restore service.
- Attend operational, project, and leadership meetings in the capacity of subject matter expert.
- Coordinate and lead community-focused discussions, knowledge sharing sessions, and semi-formal training sessions.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of various processes, procedures, best practices, patterns, workflows, job-aids, and tutorials supporting the delivery automation systems.
- Define and estimate migration and onboarding plans to support application or operational teams, and support team and community members through implementation.
- Able to provide after-hours on-call support Other duties, as assigned
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent years of experience is required.(Equivalent years of experience are determined as one year of technical experience for every year of college requested).
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment with a focus on software delivery supporting development, operations, quality assurance, or delivery automation.
- At least three (3) years of work experience as contributing developer on a team that leveraged a source code management solution, preferably leveraging integrated unit testing, code quality validation, and build automation OR three (3) years of experience in production support / operations with a focus on automating and validating the delivery of new systems, patches, updates, or similar packages
- At least one (1) year of recent, hands-on experience with a work management system, preferably one built to support agile methodologies
- Agile experience or training required
- Technical customer support experience or training strongly preferred Java, .NET, Groovy coding experience preferred
- Websphere and/or OpenShift administration experience preferred
- Experience in one or more of the following Software Lifecycle Management (SLM) tools preferred: Jenkins, Nexus Lifecycle, NexusIQ, Nexus Repository Manager, Veracode, SonarQube, UrbanCode Deploy, IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC) or Microfocus Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
