JOB TITLES - VETERINARY CLINIC - 2nd SHIFT STAFF (5pn - 10pm / Mon,Tues, Wed, Thurs & Fri)
#1 - Veterinarian - 2nd Shift
Job Classification: Contract Labor, Part time, 20 hours per week.
Job Relationships: Reports to Clinic Administrator
Job Summary: Veterinarian responsible for high quality / high volume spay and neuter surgeries on McKamey Animal Center animals in accordance with established policies & procedures. Provides the highest quality medical care possible for animals served through our Second Shift (2nd) veterinary services and spay/neuter program. Salary: $40.00 per hour.
#2 - Job Title: Veterinary Technician (2nd Shift)
Job Classification: Part time, 20 hours a week
Job Relationships: Reports to Clinic Administrator
Job Summary: Provides for the comfort, health care, and management of animals cared for at the Center and assists with implementing the daily activities of the Center's in house veterinary clinic in a professional manner. Perform daily activities of Center's veterinary clinic including: surgeries, preparation of animals for surgery, assisting veterinarians during surgery, monitoring anesthesia, monitoring the condition of animals after surgery, pack and autoclave all surgical materials after they are used and keeping the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery.
Salary: A. Trained / Experienced but Non-Licensed Vet Tech - $11.00 per hour training salary (90 days) then
$12.00 per hour.
B. Educated but Non-Licensed Vet Tech - $11.00 per hour training salary (90 days) then $12.00 per
hour.
C. State Licensed Vet Tech - $13.00 per hour training salary (90 days) then $14.00 per hour.
#3 - Job Title: Veterinary Assistant (2nd Shift)
Job Classification: Part time, hourly, and non-exempt
Job Relationships: Reports to Clinic Administrator
Job Summary: Works within a team setting in the medical clinic to oversee and provide for the health, well-being and general/surgical care of animals in the Center during the second shift rotation. Assists with the implementing of the second shift daily surgical activities of the Center's veterinary clinic.
Salary: A. Trained / Experienced but Non-Licensed Vet Assistant Tech - $10.00 per hour training salary (90
days) then $10.25 per hour.
