We are looking to employ a Preventative and Deferred Maintenance Tech with knowledge of residential building trades, cleaning procedures and maintenance. A Preventative and Deferred Maintenance Tech is expected to have fantastic organizational and time management skills. You will display natural leadership and possess fantastic communication skills with a great eye for detail.

To ensure success,Preventative and Deferred Maintenance Tech should display strong problem solving and decision-making skills with a solid understanding of building maintenance, repairs, refurbishments, cleaning and managing staff. Top candidates will be fantastic at building and equipment maintenance procedures and have knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.

Grounds maintenance

-Pick up all trash

-Mow and weedeat property(s)

-Trim bushes and trees to keep off properties, driveways, etc.

-Blow off all hard surfaces

-Maintain parking lines

-Snow removal as needed, through salt spreading or scraping of hard surface.

Maintenance Work orders

-Observe and note potential issues that need to be addressed through a work order.

-Upon notification of work order, one should contact tenant to assess situation.

-Complete minor repairs (clogged drains, doors loose, etc)

-Update Maintenance Supervisor or Construction Admin for additional support or status (complete or in progress)

-Be available to support regular maintenance team as needed.

Building Envelope (preventive maintenance)

-Evaluate each property yearly for items that should be addressed for preventative maintenance and build a scope of work that is given to the maintenance supervisor.

-Repair/ replace loose siding, soffit, or shingles.

-Assess and enter work order for extensive damage or replacement.

-Repair or enter work order for gutter, downspout, window, and potential exterior drainage issues.

-Replace damaged or missing window screens.

-Pressure wash siding, gutters, and hard surfaces.

-Update hardware when needed

-Replace exterior light bulbs on multifamily properties.

-Repair exterior damage and touch up paint when necessary.

-Repair grading on property when necessary to prevent water intrusion into units.

Other duties and jobs as assigned.
