Sentry Technologies is a local Exede Internet Authorized Retailer and Installation company. We are currently seeking an experienced satellite technician to complete Exede installations. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience installing and servicing one of the following products: Dish Network, DirecTv, or HughesNet. We are not one the large nationwide offices! We are a small family owned local company. The owner still completes installs as well! You will be treated fairly, honestly, and with respect while working for us!
This is a 1099, production pay contractor position. Technician will be responsible for providing the following:
1) Dependable and presentable Work Truck or Van
2) Proof of Insurance (General Liability, Worker's Comp, Vehicle)
3) All Tools and Ladders
4) Smart Phone and Laptop
Installs will start out paying $100 per completed installation, Upgrades will pay $70 and service calls will pay $60. Technician will also be able to earn additional commission for sales referrals.
Our technicians will only be routed work loads to complete jobs at the required quality and get back home to their family at a reasonable time. This is typically 2-4 jobs per day depending on drive times. Remember, the owner completes routes as well and knows what it is like to be a technician. Most work weeks will be Tues - Sat, but will swap the Sat for Mon at least once per month. You will never be required to work Sun, but we sometimes work 6 day weeks depending on work load.
Work is plentiful in the Clarksville, TN area which includes: Indian Mound, Stewart, Ashland City, Dickson, Hopkinsville, and Crofton. Most jobs will be within one hour of Clarksville, but could be up to 2 hours. 90% of work load will be installations rather than upgrades and service calls.
Candidates must be willing and able to meet EXEDE's high quality standards and guidelines. We only complete perfect installs and 100% of jobs are either picture or field audited. No crazy chargeback system like the big nationwide companies. Candidate will either complete the work at he quality it is suppose to be or can install for someone else.
Exede is the easiest of the satellite systems to install and does not require an expensive meter. They are essentially one room installs that include:
1) Mounting the satellite with a clear LOS
2) Running a cable from the dish to the electric meter
3) Ground the system to the electric meter
4) Run a cable from the ground block to the modem
5) Activate the Modem
6) Educate the customer and assist in setting up their online account
7) Take pictures of completed install
8) Whatever phone calls and paperwork needed
