DescriptionRobert Half Finance & Accounting is currently reviewing applicants for a Senior Financial Analyst position for one of their clients. The main responsibilities of this Senior Financial Analyst role will include developing rolling forecast processes to ensure resources are leveraged with maximum effectiveness, driving world class strategic and financial planning methods, and building long-range operating plans to support business initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for operationilizing and cultivating data-driven planning processes and improving upon monthly and quarterly reporting. This Senior Financial Analyst role will give you the opportunity to become an integral part of the team, which will allow strategic input to the senior leadership of the company. The ideal candidate will have prior knowledge of annual planning, quarterly forecasts and monthly outlooks, which will be imperative to the coordination of various planning cycles. In this role, you will also provide strategic analyses and recommendations. You will produce variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. Assist Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

Watch monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources

Allow effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

Come together with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation and prioritization

Conduct weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P&L forecasting

You will be closely engaged with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

Consider performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities

Present monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

Make and supervise forecasting reports

Master and explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

3+ years experience with advanced financial analysis, planning and budget controls required

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, MBA preferred

Expertise in simplifying complex problems and building solutions

Superb presentation skills

Comprehensive knowledge of financial analysis

Capital assets experience

Expertise in Fixed Asset Accounting

Foundational knowledge in financial modeling

Extremely efficient with financial reporting tools
