We have so many exciting projects on the horizon; it will certainly be a summer to remember!KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support Engineers team with documentation, fabrication, investigation and testing on systems and processes

Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection and adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria

Provide support in the analysis and test activities in support of escape system development and Operations Support

Be an active participant in department and site continuous improvement initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong initiative, interpersonal and team skills

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

The ability to multi-task and work well under deadline pressure

Solid analytical skills

Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory and work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Must be pursuing a bachelors or master’s degree in an approved program in mechanical, manufacturing, electrical, or related engineering discipline

Must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher

Must be an active student at time of internship

Must have permanent United States work authorization status

EXAMPLES OF PREVIOUS INTERN PROJECTS:

Establishing parts validation process for our 8 assembly lines using process improvement tools and workmanship holds data

Standardize our final assembly auditor work load to allow for greater visibility and time reduction through automation

Automate daily infinity report into PowerPoint export to be analyzed in the daily quality meetings

Develop designs for molten sand tank system utilized to clean our paint lines

Research opportunities around automating quality control of control panel wiring

Establish process of using infrared camera to determine and predict if certain components in machines are or will become obsolete or worn out

Locate and upgrade existing breaker panels
