We are seeking a motivated, results oriented individual to continue to raise our high bar in EH&S standards as our Collierville facility’s EH&S Manager. This position offers high visibility and an excellent pathway to future opportunities. The identified candidate will report directly to the plant manager.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide leadership to the EH&S group in staffing, performance management, process maintenance and improvement, productivity, and handling tactical, day-to-day activities and workflow

Responsible for developing the EH&S team’s future outlook and strategy and ensuring it aligns with the greater business objectives. Guide and develop employees to grow in their careers.

Work closely with plant staff, operations team, corporate finance, and HR team to Provide safety related support and expertise

Supervision of three salaried EH&S professionals

Utilize the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) operating system to propose and implement changes to existing processes to streamline and improve overall performance while maintaining cost controls and creating cost effective use of resources

Lead the development and implementation of EH&S management systems and risk reduction initiatives such as ergonomics, machine guarding, confined space entry, vehicle safety, industrial hygiene, control of hazardous energy, contractor safety, environmental compliance, etc.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s in EH&S or related discipline required, Master’s preferred

Environmental Certification and/or Health & Safety Certification is a plus

7+ years of experiences in EH&S or related field

3+ Experience within a unionized, manufacturing environment required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent communication skills; candidate must be comfortable providing briefings at all levels of management

Ability to influence decisions downstream and upstream

Solid understanding of lean principles to effectively create, implement and monitor process improvement initiatives.

Excellent project management skills and the ability to effectively lead and team with multiple functional groups to reach a common objective

Ability to work in a self-directed manner

Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office Applications.

3+ years of prior management experience - prefer to have EH&S management

Support of the site's compliance continued compliance of OSHA standards, maintenance of the procedures database, injury/incident data analysis and support of the site's EHS Annual Plan and Program Evaluation.
