We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented procurement professional to continue to raise our high bar in manufacturing leadership. We have an excellent opportunity for a senior procurement analyst located at our Collierville, TN manufacturing facility.You will be responsible for the planning, purchase, and analysis of assigned commodities. In addition, you will participate in projects as directed by leadership while working in compliance with all departmental and company procedures.Responsibilities
Develop and manage the business relationship between Carrier and its Suppliers of assigned commodities, within our CCS Supply Management organization (supplier issue resolution, supplier cost reductions, purchase order creation and management)
Review MRP requirements and ensure production component quantities are covered
Maintain targeted days of supply for assigned commodities and provide analysis to support opportunities for inventory reduction
Work with suppliers and freight groups to expedite material shortages if needed
Forecast financials on a monthly basis and identify, develop, and execute projects for your assigned commodities
Lead/support various process partner needs (Engineering & Technology, Product Development, Quality, Marketing, Lean Manufacturing, ect.)
Drive extraordinary results in meeting cost, quality, delivery, and service objectives
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are accomplished in all work streams
Conduct business in a co-operative and ethical manner in accordance with UTC Corporate guidelines to achieve departmental and company business objectives as defined by management.
Experience/QualificationsFive years of purchasing, materials, or accounting experience
Communicate effectively with internal customers and management using written or verbal methods as required
Interview suppliers’ representatives for possible new products, services and cost reduction opportunities
Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Access
Expert in MS Excel
Basic MRP interpretation skills
Appropriate writing skills for business documents
Excellent telephone and E-mail skills
Strong analytical skills including presentations
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple key activities
Strong potential and work ethic for future growth
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting or Engineering; Master’s degree preferred
