DescriptionThe US Navy Ready Relevant Learning (RRL) Content Conversion project is to employ innovative instructional design and assessment strategies in conjunction with new and modernized technology. The goal of RRL is to provide the right training at the right time in the right way to improve the transfer of training to the work environment.Improved training transfer will be accomplished by:

Converting designated course so they are compatible with the waterfront or shipboard environment and contribute to the acquisition of actionable knowledge.

Scheduling the converted content closer in time to when the training will be put into practice in the work environment.

Developing modernized high-velocity instructional media that is engaging, learner-centric and available at the point of need.

RRL is a holistic approach to reimagining how the Navy trains its Sailors. It will transform the Navy’s current training model to deliver training across the continuum of a career using modern learning techniques that improve comprehension and retention of knowledge.Period of performance will be 24 months, and we are anticipating work to begin May 2019. Work will be located at SAIC facilities throughout the U.S., and there are also options to telework.JOB DESCRIPTION: Develops, directs, plans and evaluates training programs or activities to meet external customer or internal employee learning objectives. Assignments may include needs analysis, custom course development, development of criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of course objectives, and evaluation and learning assessments. Where instructing within a certified educational institution, responsible for determining the organization, communication and delivery of the course content and materials, and for developing learning activities and demonstrations. Collaborates with customer or internal functional organization to develop, enhance, and/or evaluate new or existing learning objectives and course content. May create course content, training materials, visual aids and documentation to support a variety of instructional formats such as lecture, lab exercises, field training, computer-based training (CBT), and/or web-based training (WBT). MMonitors and evaluates training programs, assesses results, and implements enhancements as needed. PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures. FREEDOM TO ACT: Work is closely supervised. Follow specific, detailed instructions. IMPACT: Contributions are usually limited to task-related activities. Errors do not typically have a major effect on the organization.
