Job Description

The Financial Analyst II will be supporting management planning and decision making by identifying, maintaining, and evaluating information, as well as recommending actions. This position is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reporting a monthly summary of operating results for the Business Units and Manufacturing Plants. Additionally, this position will be responsible for developing and reporting KPIs as well as providing special project support to the Controller and CFO.

1. Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes. Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of inventory, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures.

2. Engage with Senior Management Team and Departments heads to identify areas where analysis is required and provide the necessary

3. Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and accounting support.

4. Partner with business units to create and monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends, and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.

5. Participate in the period-end close process by investigating variances and provide explanations

6. Develop/Consolidate/Publish various non-financial and financial reports to support the Accounting group.

7. Identify areas where continuous improvement opportunities exist, develop project plans with stakeholders to execute continuous improvement in finance/accounting and other areas.

8. Manage financial analysts by conducting regular performance evaluations, provide necessary coaching and development opportunities.

Qualifications

Education Requirement

BBA in Finance or Accounting. MBA preferred

Experience Requirement

  • 5-7 years of financial and/or general business experience. 2+ years of financial analysis experience. Database software experience a plus.
  • Expert level knowledge in Excel (including VBA). SQL, Automation Anywhere, or other RPA platformis a plus.

Additional Information

Physical: This position has limited physical activity requirements – primarily sitting, and walking to the copy room and throughout the building to interact with other departments. Lifting would only require filing documents and possibly boxing items to send to storage.

Sensory: This position requires the use primarily of visual, hearing and speaking senses. Visual activities include the ability to read computer generated reports and customer documentation, and to utilize a computer system. Hearing and speaking is required to work with other department colleagues as well as with parent company colleagues to research issues and learn job functions. Touching is only required to be able to handle reports and complete necessary filing activities.

Mental/Reasoning: This position requires a great deal of learning, reasoning and analyzing. Mental reasoning is required to analyze customer deduction data and match that with Stratas support to determine the validity of customer disputes.
