leading health benefits companies and a Fortune Top 50 Company.Location: This positionwill allow you to work at any Anthem office location or remotelyThe Financial OperationsAnalyst Lead will be responsible for analyzing data and providing new
processes, system enhancements and technical solutions to complex business
issues. Leads and coaches staff. Manages workflow and oversees day-to-day
department responsibilities. May conduct operational meetings with staff.
Assists management in establishing work goals. Prepares management reports and
may do budget variance.Primary duties may include, but are
not limited to:
Develops and executes complex data analysis.
Develops strategic report applications from Financesystems.
Writes queries and macros to enhance access databasesand builds new databases in support of accurate balance sheet/P&Lreporting.
Provides decision support and procedural input toensure that processing efficiency does not compromise internal controlmechanisms.
Interfaces with IT as needed and documents and tracksany needed system enhancements with IT management.
Documents and responds to any external audit requests.
Assists in the implementation of software releaseswithin the Finance organization.
Ensures proper conversion or shutdown of legacy systemsby developing and documenting enterprise solutions for successfultransition to core processing systems.
Has technical and operational expertise.
Can commit department to deliverables on owninitiative.
Uses discretion in making independent decisions.
Requirements
Requires a BA/BS degree
5+ years’ experience in afinance/health insurance field capacity; prior experience with relationaldatabases and mainframe and client server report writers; projectmanagement experience; or any combination of education and experience,which would provide an equivalent background.
Strong investigative driverequired
Must be a self-starter
Strong communication skillsrequired
Ability to quickly establishand leverage networks required
Experience as a ReimbursementPolicy expert desired
Coding / Billing experiencepreferred
SQL or Query experience desired
Experience with health planoperations preferred
Network Management experiencepreferred
Contracting experiencepreferred
MBA, CPA, CMA, CFA orapplicable professional designation preferred.
