The CT Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that require rational and independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in performing standard CT protocols in order to achieve departmental goals with emphasis on productivity, efficiency, customer service. Participates in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement. Maintains cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers. Promotes a supportive, team-work oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of Horizon.License/Certification
A.R.R.T. (R) or A.R.R.T registry eligible with advance certification obtained within one year of eligibility. Temporary extensions may be made to this requirement, at the discretion of the Chief Medical Director and Department Director, based on facility needs and documentation that the technologist’s is actively pursuing registration.
ARRT(R)(CT) registry and/or two years experience preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification required within 90 days of hire or promotion.
Maintains all required licenses, certifications and accreditations.
Experience
Two (2) or more years of imaging experience is preferred.
