Work Shift: 1ST SHIFT (United States of America)This position is responsible for performing tasks assigned by supervisor that are associated with the day to day operations of a grain elevator under supervision. Must complete the entry level requirements prior to being a Class 1 operator.

Responsible for facility housekeeping

Perform daily and monthly inspections on facility equipment.

Responsible for being on time and maintaining a good attendance record which complies with company policy.

Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work in order to maintain good attendance record.

Unload trucks at receiving pit using facility controls computer

Roll trailer tarps

Open/close railcar lids.

Close railcar doors prior to loading and make sure car is in good condition and sealed properly.

Maintain and contribute to a safe and effective work environment

Assist with facility maintenance and PM as needed.

Be able to load railcars if needed using facility load out software

Be able to load trucks using facility load out computer

Need to be able to climb stairs/ ladders to get tank measurements used for grain inventory

Needs to have the ability to operate a skid steer loader.

Need to be willing and able to assist and perform other needs as they arise if directed to do so by supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

good balance needed to walk safely.

stand while waiting for trucks to enter and exit dump pits while unloading.

required to forward bend to open trailer doors and lift rail car lids.

walk a few steps at a time while unloading trucks.

Required to walk to and from break area and to work stations as well as beside company railroad tracks.

push with a force up to 25# to sweep grain.

reach down to lift railcar lids.

grip with a force up to 25# to hold and operate brooms and scoops.

use a computer to load/unload trucks and when loading rail cars.

reach up to open dump trailer latches.

The days/hours for this position will be: Monday - Friday - 8 to 14 hours per day. Guaranteed 40 hours per week. Increased hours during harvest seasons (JUNE-JULY, AUGUST-NOVEMEBER) which varies upon weather and company need.This job description is not necessarily a complete list of all job requirements or working conditions.
