Welding EngineerLocal manufacturing company needs a welding engineer to develop and improve welding procedures. Four-year degree preferred. Certified Welding Engineer (CWE from AWS) preferred.With a safety-first approach, develop methods to improve fabrication processes and techniques.Will develop automated and manual welding methods and process instructions. Will develop flow lines, establish quality standards, help with employee training.Develop an internal welding training and certification program for both fabrication and inspections.Ensure welding operations comply with industry, codes, standards, environmental regulations.Solve welding-related manufacturing problems, while seeking opportunities to reduce costs and improve productivityApply advanced welding techniques and procedures for metal fabrication, ensuring compliance with engineering principles and production specifications.Research new or improved fabrication processes, welding methods, and equipment that improve cost and quality.
