Our Forutne 500 Client is seeking to hire a local or remote Senior Software/Big Data Engineer. This will be a contract-to-hire opening with a target to convert after 6 months. Ideal candidates for this role will have a background in Python and SQL development along with cloud experience.Location: Nashville, TN - 100% Remote OpportunityRequired Skills:- Python
- SQL - Multiple
- DevOps & Cloud experience
- Solid understanding of software engineering and processes: design patterns, algorithms, data structures, schemas and queries, systems design, unit testing, code reviews, Agile practices and DevOps culture.
- Experience working with teams that leveraged two or more of the following: CI/CD pipelines, APIs, serverless/microservices architecture, IaC on public/private cloud, application observability and/or messaging/streaming architecture.
- Written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be resourceful, have a proactive attitude and be a great collaborator
- 5+ years of combined experience with various programming languages such as C, Java, C# and Python
- 3+ years writing Python 3 for production
- 3+ years exp. with GIT, preferably GitHub
- 3+ years writing SQL
- 2+ years writing unit or integration tests
- 1+ years exp. with Jenkins
- 1+ years exp. with Docker
- 1+ years exp. with containers orchestration either OpenShift or Kubernetes
- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 7 years of experience
- Education: Bachelors (required)
- Python (3 years of experience is required)
- SQL (3 years of experience is required)
- Azure (3 years of experience is preferred)
- AWS (3 years of experience is preferred)
- JAVA DEVELOPER (5 years of experience is preferred)
- Data Analysis
- PL/SQL (3 years of experience is preferred)
