The projects will have an emphasis on water/wastewater conveyance and pumping system and water resources. You will work on projects from planning through permitting and construction phases. The Entry-Level Engineer will work within project teams and will be responsible for completing their assigned portion of the project work. You will work closely with more senior project team members.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Builds analytic and design skills.

Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an

experienced engineer.

Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering or related discipline

Must have strong technical engineering knowledge in water, wastewater, and/or water resources design

Must have demonstrated time management skills, work ethic, and attention to detail

Must have the ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with technicians, designers, engineers and project managers for the preparation of high quality work deliverables

Must have a valid driver's license in the State of Tennessee

Occasional business travel may be required

Must have a strong desire and willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering a plus

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)

Candidate must have proven excellent leadership skills, and demonstrated ability to successfully work in diverse teams

Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3-D software

Working knowledge of ArcGIS suite of software
