Job Description
SUMMARYSupervises the maintenance and operations of the pools and pool support areas according to company standards and in compliance with state codes and related duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.Tests water chemistry in pool, usingTaylortest kit, adjusting chemicals where necessary, maintains all chemicals within state guidelines.Records all necessary information on provided forms.
Cleans pool filters according to prescribed procedures.
Performs maintenance onallpoolbathroom fixtures.
Supervises the cleaning of pools, pool decks, furniture, pump areas, bathrooms and pool tile.
Repairs and replaces all pumps, pump motors, chemical feed controls, pool plumbing, decking, ladders/steps, heaters, underwater lighting and main grates.
Deep cleans pool decks and Vac-Pac areas.
Delivers chemicals and other supplies to pools.
Maintains and clean chemical storage areas and monitors inventory levels.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position supervises Pool Operators as well as Pool Attendants.Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add,subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSCertified pool/spa operator (C.P.O.).Valid Drivers license.
