Join us.BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENTThe Brunswick Boat Group Co-op and Intern Program is designed to enrich a student’s formal education within the process engineering discipline. The engineering job description focuses on the design, analysis, and optimization of business production systems . Engineering candidates will have the opportunity to work on varying projects each rotation.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Visual Management System – Setting up a visual supermarket between lamination and P.I. to account for customer demand

Gemba Daily Management – Learning to track KPI’s and attack deficiencies in Safety, Quality and Delivery

Proactive Safety Strategy – Participating in departmental audits and helping drive solutions before they’re problems

Preventative Maintenance – Setting up PM systems for chop and gel guns as well as equipment around the building

Sustaining Engineering – Sustaining daily operations to ensure equipment and vendor managed tooling remains productive.

Industrial Engineering – Standardizing with times and visual work instructions the arch-building processes

Various other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation and Experience:

Be enrolled in an approved four-year related curriculum at an accredited college or university with focused studies in industrial engineering or manufacturing technology.

Have completed a minimum of 2 years of a four-year specified degree with a grade point average of 2.75 or better.

Additional Requirements:

Strong critical thinking; Problem solving; Analyzing; Examining skills to find the best solutions to various situations.

Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to provide thorough written and verbal communication

Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts and equipment, chemicals, heights and moderate noise levels.
