Join us.JOB PURPOSE:Put away, repack, pick, and deliver material to support assembly production while maintaining a high level of organization and accuracy.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Material Handling
Put away materials and restock pick locations using an order picker
Open containers using hand held tools
Dispose of waste, cardboard, and pallets
Communicate issues/needs with parts, containers, labels, or documentation
Process empty drums
Process aerosols
Material Replenishment
Keep materials stocked in lamination, material cutting room and gel coat department
Unload trucks and rotate stock
Electronic part management (Oracle)
Use computer and handheld RF scanner
Look up inventory locations
Perform inventory move transactions
Order parts
Inventory accuracy
Accurate use of part numbers, locations, and material transactions
Follow Cycle count program
Count parts as requested
Record and communicate inventory inaccuracies when discovered
Deliver pulled product slips to purchaser
Operate powered equipment
Trash and cardboard compactors
Forklift
Lean
Understand and use visual controls to replenish parts, maintain inventory levels and identify potential shortages
Other
Maintain, sweep, clean and organized work area and aisles
Report safety concerns
Check fire extinguishers
Change “floors” as needed
Change filters plantwide
Empty router table bins
Support training of new team members
Use of hand tools such as safety knife, prybar, wrenches and hammer
Learn to palletize and wrap parts
Perform other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS:
Previous experience in inventory, material handling, part picking, or similar position is preferred.
Experience using RF scanning devices.
Ability to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, write and understand).
Basic counting, adding and subtracting.
Good organization, attention to detail, and time management.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
Proficient computer skills including email and familiarity with a keyboard and mouse. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lift/carry up to 10 lbs constantly and up to boxes weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Push/pull up to 100 lbs occasionally.
Perform tasks that are primarily walking and standing for full 8-12 hour shift.
Frequently use hands and fingers to pick parts and grip objects, tools, scanner, etc.
Occasionally crouch, kneel, bend, stoop, and reach forward and overhead.
Bend, twist/turn, push/pull, reach overhead and grasp tools as necessary.
Operate powered equipment listed above.
Comfortable being up to 14-feet in the air on order picker, while fully guarded and wearing safety harness. Please note that you must be in your current role for a certain period of time prior to being eligible for other internal positions.
