job descriptionPackaging 3rd ShiftHave a full time day job, and need to work a second job at night? Go to school in the morning and need to work at night? Or are you just a night owl and prefer to work at night? Well, we have the perfect shift! This Packaging position is 10:00 pm - 6:30 am and pays $10.50 an hour!We are currently recruiting for 3rd Shift Packaging Associates for a large employer in Jackson, TN. This 3rd shift position offers a shift differential of $0.50 and if you work over 40 hours in a single pay week, you can earn time and a half for each hour over 40 hoursthat's $15.75 per hour every hour over 40 hours! This company is one of the largest employers in Jackson and a great opportunity for those needing more manufacturing experience. Continue reading for more information about this position.Responsibilities:So what will you be doing? In this position, you will be required to work with your teammates to quickly unpack boxes of product and then fill empty boxes with that product, as those empty boxes are coming down the conveyor belt. To be successful in this position, you must be a team player. You will be working with 3 to 5 people in very close quarters. You must also be able to pay close attention to detail. You don't want to overfill the boxes with too much product or place the wrong product in the wrong box. Yikes! You must move quickly in order to keep up with the fast moving conveyor belt. Staying busy in this fast pace environment, definitely makes the time go by fast! While you will be standing in one spot the majority of your shift, there is a lot of walking to and from the department. Be sure to get comfortable Steel Toe Shoes! We can't emphasize that enough.Working hours: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AMSkills: The ability to be accountable for your own actions The ability to work fast, yet efficiently Pay close attention to detail Follow directions Determined to do the best you can do Flexibility to move around to various areas in your department Observe cleanliness and general health safety standards
