be trained to rotate throughout the Nutrition and Food Service
working a variety of positions.This Announcement will remain open until filled and may be used to

advanced notice.Learn more about this agencyResponsibilities· Incumbents perform tasks with several steps or a sequence of tasks
that require attention to work operations, follow set procedures in
accomplishing repetitive assignments, and follow an established
sequence of work.
· Sets-up serving lines with dishes, silverware and hot and cold
food items. Prior to each meal, studies posted menus to become
familiar with items to be served. Records serving temperatures
taking corrective action when necessary
· Serves food on patient tray line where a printed tray ticket
provides standard service and portion information using proper
utensils as directed.
· When assigned to patient/resident tray delivery, takes re-therm
units to and from hospital wards; serves trays to patients. Records
point of service temperatures, reports to supervisors if out of
range.
· Maintain and dispense beverages from a ready to use beverage
system, i.e., coffee, soft drinks, hot or ice tea.
· Dish-machine Area - Assembles racks, trucks, cans and bags for
dump area; sets up dish-machine preparatory to use by filling
detergent bins and water tanks.
· Pot and Pan Area - Sets up and operates pot and pan washer; keeps
water tanks filled to the correct level and the water temperature at
the designated degree.
· Cleaning Duties - Performs general cleaning duties to including
sweeping and mopping floors in certain areas of the Nutrition and
Food Service units to include offices, refrigerators, etc.
· Sorts and bags soiled laundry; sorts and stores clean laundry.
· Helps unload and store incoming supplies or subsistence items in
designated areas. Helps unload prepared food and transports to
serving areas. Moves heavy garbage cans when collecting and
transferring trash from the work area to the disposal area.
· Observes and complies with all safety practices in the operation
of equipment used. Cleans equipment and area; reports needed repairs
to Food Service Worker Supervisor WS-4.
· Utilizes printed and electronic files containing sensitive
information and is responsible for protecting that information from
unauthorized release or from loss, alteration, or unauthorized
deletion. Follows applicable regulations and instructions regarding
access to computerized files, release of access codes, etc.Work Schedule: Various rotating tours 5:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

to heavy physical effort. The incumbent is subject to continuous
standing/walking; frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and
bending. Frequently lift or move objects weighting up to 40 pounds.
And occasionally lift or move objects weighting over 40 pounds with
assistance as needed.WORKING CONDITIONS: Working area are often uncomfortable warm
and noisy. Workers are exposed to minor cuts, bruises, burns or
scalds. There is danger of slipping on floors which are wet from
mopping or spillage. The incumbent is occasionally exposed to
temperature extremes in production areas, walk-in refrigerators, and
