Food Service Systems Manager (FSSM), Nutrition and Food Services.
The position is the principal administrative support position for
the Food Service Section of Nutrition and Food Services. The
assistant is responsible for the overall management of the section
by planning, developing, coordinating and directing all
administrative functions essential to Nutrition and Food Services
program implementation.Learn more about this agencyResponsibilitiesAt the direction of the FSSM, the Program Support Assistant
coordinates upgrading of procedures and policies, with effective
planning, and effective use of resources as necessary. Incumbent is
responsible for dealing effectively with employees of all skill
levels, including dietitians, supervisors, and production/service
staff. Incumbent ensures that new staff is provided with required
training and is oriented and is the position of contact for the
Nutrition and Food Service. Maintains a courteous, respectful,
accommodating, and polite atmosphere when dealing with patients,
residents, family members, vendors and other service members. In
addition, several tasks and projects must be managed while advising
and assisting other in areas of programs, data/information, computer
software programs and information systems.Incumbent is accountable for planning, coordinating, and directing
of fiscal management, Human Resources/Labor Relations, Logistics,
Facilities Management Services and Nursing relations within the
service. He/she provides strategic planning and establishes short
and long-range goals to place the program in the best possible
position for success of the organization. Incumbent is required to
be knowledgeable of governmental regulations and standards to assure
compliance for accreditation. Experience in timekeeping,

QualificationsTo qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements
by the closing date of this announcement, 05/29/2019.Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal
employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks
must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of
