The Analyst will prepare and analyze environmental samples for volatile and/or semi-volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and EPA methodology in compliance with Eurofins’ Quality Assurance programs and Standard Operating Procedures.  The analyst will work with commitment to the team, organization and discipline. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Demonstrate and promote the company visionShow regular attendance and punctualityPerform job functions in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing’s EHS and QA standardsApply GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriateWork under close supervision using routine and standard methodsTake responsibility for general housekeeping in group’s work areaLearn to use the Laboratory Information Management System to access sample backlogs, schedule work, record essential data and information, calculate results and report client dataWork with associates in scheduling tasks in a manner that is timely, efficient and productivePerform routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs. These include:Prepare samples following Standard Operating ProcedureAnalyze samples using automated gas chromatography (FID/ECD)Analyze samples using automated GCMS equipmentRecord and report data in a laboratory information systemPerform routine instrument maintenancePrepare spiking and reagent solutions as neededConduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner as an active participant in EHS programsPerform other duties as assignedThe successful candidate will demonstrate teamwork, actively striving to improve technique and learn new methods and procedures. Work SchedulesWork schedules are generally Monday - Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM with a half hour lunch break.  Overtime is offered and will be expected when needed to meet work load demands.
