Under Canvas began in 2009 with the opening of an all-inclusive glamping adventure package and has since grown to include eight luxury glamping resorts and a customized events offering, bringing the glamping experience to life anywhere in the country. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Kitchen Manager with Under Canvas, you are responsible for setting the example of our standards at all times, whether its cleanliness, organization, or food quality.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing the kitchen porters

Making sure the kitchen is a safe and hygienic place to work

Organizing the inventory and storage

Helping to plan menus, apportion ingredients and use of food surpluses

Encourage & coach staff to ensure a positive work environment

Ensure all company, state/federal food handling and alcohol policies are strictly followed

Present an accurate and effective image of successful leadership

Delegate tasks appropriately

Keep kitchen clean in accordance to Under Canvas and State/Local Health Department

Follow and enforce all policies related to serving or the sale of alcohol

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Must be over 21 t

ServSafe Certificate

2+ years food and beverage experience

Knowledge of all kitchen equipment

Cook in absence of Chef

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Camp / Resort style work environment
