NOCCR in Knoxville, TN. is currently seeking healthy volunteers ages 18-50 for a clinical research study testing an investigational medication in development for the treatment of short bowel syndrome.
Participants must be willing to complete 2 screening visits (traditional screening & endoscopic procedure), stay overnight in the study center 5 separate times for 5 weeks in row and complete 4 follow-up visits. Compensation up to $7,950 available for time and travel.

Stays & Visits Listed Below:
5 days/4nights (Day -1 to Day 4)
4 days/3nights (Day 7 to Day 10)
5 days/4nights (Day 14 to Day 18)
4 days/3nights (Day 21 to Day 25)
9 days/8nights (Day 28 to Day 36)
Follow up visits on days 39, 43, 50, and 57 of the study
To participate you must: Be between the ages: 18 - 50
Be healthy, taking no medications, and have no diagnosed medical conditions
Have a BMI between 18 - 30
Weight between 110 - 220 pounds
Must meet weight and BMI requirements
Be able to pass a urine drug screen test
No History of Hepatitis B, C, or HIV
Be a NON-Smoker - cannot have smoked in the last 30 days and cannot smoke during the study
No history of any GI surgeries or conditions such as weight loss surgery, gallstones, colon polyps, gall bladder removal, and etc.
Must eat all food provided to you during the study
