Required Qualifications:

Must have one of the following

1. High School Diploma, or equivalent, with a Child Development Associate credential or early Childhood Technical Certificate or equivalent, AND 7 years of experience administering an early care and/or education program;

OR

2. Associate's Degree in a relevant area and 4 years of experience administering an early care and/or education program;

OR

3. Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant area and 2 years of experience administering an early care and/or education program;

OR

4. A Program Administrator Credential.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Meets the following expectations yearly:

(a) Attains 20 hours of relevant training every year.

(b) Annually updated Professional Development Plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Director's responsibilities include the following:

(a) Reporting to Executive Director;

(b) Knowing with detailed precision, all DHS Licensure conditions/requirements AND;

(c) Ensure program compliance with all Licensure requirements

(d) Ensure program site is always ready for unannounced DHS visits

(e) Oversee and plan with teachers daily, weekly, and monthly learning program.

(f) Utilize & train program staff on DHS's Report Card and Rating Scales system.

(e) Maintain children's files and ensure records are complete and updated accordingly (completed application

formsupdated annually: children's immunization and/or medical; income verification; among other

documentation)

(f) Maintain program staff files and ensure staff meet position & employment requirements

(g) Liaise between different stakeholdersteacher/school staff, program staff, and parents.

(h)Ensure teacher-to-student ratios are maintained and program goals are met

(i) Be Blossom Center's childcare program representative, implementer, and point person.

(j) Give facility tours to outsiders;

(k) Maintain stable enrollment and program;

(l) Oversee enrollment process;

(m)Articulate program policies and ensure compliance by families and staff;

(n) Ensure supplies are ordered and available for program purposes in a timely manner;

(o) Create and plan daily, weekly, and monthly learning program and goals for children in collaboration with

teachers and caregivers;

(p) Manage site staff and offer coaching, problem-solving, and professional development;

(q) Collaborate with organizational leadership, staff, parents, and other stakeholders to develop support systems

that enhance children's well-being and learning experience;

(r) Supervise and evaluate program staff;

(s) Ensure accuracy of data submitted for payroll and ensure timely submission of payroll;

(t) Participate in organizational events on and off site.

Compensation:
