Title: Software Engineer (Java) Location: Position will start remote. Candidates may be located in Knoxville, High Point, NC, Dallas or Austin Pay Rate: $50.14/hr Contract to Perm: 6 months Must Have: Java and Angular 6+ Must be able to work on W2 without sponsorship Looking for a highly qualified, talented website designer/engineer for a senior anchor position for our young development team. The successful candidate will possess the necessary skills to lead all aspects of the software development lifecycle. Our technologies and approaches change daily and we are looking for someone with the capabilities to adapt and pivot quickly and help other developers to adapt as well. We are looking for a leader, someone others will look up to and take direction from. Next Level Graphic Design Capabilities Full-Stack Development Prowess (Can take a concept from napkin to server with no problem) Java Angular 6+ CSS 3 HTML 5 Agile Development Unit / Integration Testing Abilities Strong Leadership Skills Above Average Communications Skills Positive Attitude Strong Desire to Succeed Result Oriented Automation Centric Design First Minded Job Description: Responsibilities include developing in java, angular 6+, unit testing, defect identification and resolution, managing, and prioritizing workload to meet project deadlines, and participation in the code review process. Involves working with the development team under the general direction of your technology leader, and working in a collaborative role to concept and visualize new features by providing mockups and specs for the development team to deliver. Involves working with analysts to accurately interpret project requirements and with project managers to ensure project tasks are accurately defined and delivered on time. Also involves troubleshooting and enhancing existing production applications. Primary Responsibilities: Establish a technical understanding of existing applications. Troubleshoot a variety of complex issues and identify solutions for application or operational problems in support of daily processing. Design, code, unit, and integration test, debug, and document technical solutions. Collaborate with technical leads and other developers to deliver effective software solutions. Create appropriate documentation (process flows, class diagrams, mockups, technical specs, unit test cases) as directed by project technical leads. Model practices that ensure application systems are developed complying with architectural standards and established methodologies. Provide feedback on project status, identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals, and implementing corrective actions. Support product quality, performance, and availability. Troubleshoot and resolve critical defect issues identified. Mentor and assist less experienced developers. Education Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Sciences, Software Development or related fields. Experience and Skill Requirements: - Minimum 10 years overall technical experience unless your extraordinarily gifted - Experience with Java, Angular 6+, CSS 3, SASS, Mix-ins, HTML5, Photoshop, Illustrator, & Fireworks for Graphic Design, Web Services, javaScript, JSON - Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Application Design and patterns. - MYSQL, Stored Procedures - Experience in relational database design - Experience and understanding of the interaction between host and web systems. - In-depth experience at troubleshooting defect issues and providing quick turnaround on such issues. - Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills / English Skills. - Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. - Experience working with offshore development and QA teams. - Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. - Ability to coordinate and work with teams and users in different geographical locations.
