Meason Freight Inc. is a Fedex Contracted Service Provider. We are seeking candidates for long term driving positions, as well as seasonal work during peak (Thanksgiving through New Years).
This is a physically demanding job. It requires self motivated and organized individuals, able to work with little to no supervision. MFI offers a competitive salary, with the benefit of a five day work week (potentially 6 days during peak season).
Hours vary daily based on number of stops/packages and geographical location; some long days and some shorter days.
Requirements are as follows:
- Ability to work Monday- Friday for Ground, Tuesday-Saturday for Home Delivery
- Legally authorized to work in the US (will be verified)
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- A valid driver's license
- If you have a Tennessee Driver's License, you must have or acquire an F endorsement
- A CDL is NOT required
- Must have one (1) year verifiable driving experience in a delivery or commercial vehicle, such as Pizza delivery, Service Trucks, Taxi/Uber, etc. Commercial driving experience must be verified by a reference.
- One full year of driving experience must be within the last 3 years. (or 5 full years within the last 10 years)
- Once certified in the FedEx system, you will train within the team, and test to be certified on larger delivery vehicles
- A clean driving record and MVR report "No DUI/Reckless Driving in last 5 years"
- Pass a D.O.T. physical
- Pass a criminal background check "No Felonies in last 7 years"
- Pass a pre-employment drug test
- Able to lift and move packages up to 150 pounds
- A sense of urgency and ability to operate with little supervision, but able to meet customer delivery and pickup times
- Cell phone with the capability to send and receive text messages (smart phone/experience using navigation apps is preferred)
