Network Administrator
Position Description CGI Federal is seeking Network Administrators for the Defense Media Activity to host service provider Web services for Department of Defense (DoD) organizations. The program provides fast, secure DoD management system to provide information sharing and various web-hosting for various DoD websites.Your future duties and responsibilities• Implements, tests, and maintains LANs/WANs.• Monitors Palo Alto firewall and network performance.• Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems to ensure no disruption of mission critical applications.• Adheres to all Information Assurance standards and practices.• Takes proper measures to insure optimum data and device security.• Supports remote access platforms and connectivity to those platforms.• Creates and updates network documentation in support of network operations.• Provides product and new technology research and evaluation.• Upgrades and updates network products based on vendor specifications.• Performs network troubleshooting in support of system malfunctions.• Updates direct manager on a weekly basis.• Tracks work using an industry level tracking system.• Responsible for scheduled and non-scheduled after-hours maintenance.Required qualifications to be successful in this role• 5+ years of experience providing network administration to DoD IT systems.• Clearance: Interim/Active Secret• DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 Baseline Cert: One of the following; Security+CE, CCNA Security; CySA+; GICSP; GSEC; SSCP• Experience with Firewalls, Cisco Routers & Switches, VoIP, VTC• Extensive experience as a systems/network administrator• Knowledge of network/networking principles• Ability to work for senior officials in a dynamic environment• Good communication skills, both oral and written• Knowledge in Cloud Computing, Infrastructure• Requires access to the customer site (needs to be able to travel to DMA/Ft.
