Position:Are you ready to take your career to the next level with a critical position in an innovative startup that is disrupting the compliance industry? We are actively seeking a highly skilled User Experience (UX) architect to provide full-time support to our Research and Develop (R&D) team to enhance the design and customer experience of our software. If you have a passion for design, love delighting users with simple and intuitive user experience, and are excited about the idea of working in a fast-paced startup then we would love to meet you. This position will play a key role in designing our core application, website, and related collateral. We recognize that UX skillsets are critical to our company’s success, and we have offered a generous compensation package that includes a competitive base salary with significant stock options to help us recruit the most exceptional talent.Required Skills:- Web design including modern HTML code with responsive design and CSS styling using Bootstrap
- Optimizing HTML layouts to be responsive and device agnostic
- Development of animations and transitions using Javascript
- Managing source code configuration using GitHub or similar git-based tools
- User experience design including development of gradients, icons, images, and other front-end visualizations
- Experience doing custom design work in Photoshop and/or Illustrator
- Development of professional presentations, brochures, and other marketing collateral using Office and Adobe tools
- Development of mock-ups and click throughs to support new feature development
- Collaborating with copyrighters and technical editors on visualizing marketing content for the website
- UX development for our application using Bootstrap with custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- UX development for the our website
- Design work on marketing collateral
- Design support to our executives on sales presentations and events
- Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years’ experience in UX design preferred
- Degree in Web Design or Graphic Arts is preferred
- Experience with common design solutions such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma
- Experience with front-end web design with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Experience working in Agile projects including various Sprint/Scrum related activities is preferred
- Experience with responsive design frameworks such as Bootstrap and Material and the ability to optimize UX based on various form factors
- Must be a self-starter who works well with technical staff on diverse and blended teams
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Must be a resident of East Tennessee (or be willing to re-locate) and be willing to work in the office up to 50% of the time
- Must be a , able to pass a background check, and may be subject to random workplace drug testing
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Must provide proof of COVID vaccination
- Must be able to demonstrate a prior portfolio of design work, talk through design choices, and demonstrate creative skills during interviews
