is currently recruiting for an

Production Manager.To support our

Lightning Source

team in

LaVergne, TNjust outside Nashville. This person will plan, manage, and coordinate the operation of a manufacturing production floor to include printing, trimming, case binding, and shipping for assigned Lightning Source (LSI) Production Department. Supervises all associates, directly or indirectly, on the assigned shift. Responsibilities include ensuring that short and long term safety, production and cost targets are met within the specified production quality standards. Coordination with all departments to ensure adequate resources are brought to bear on unit problems, interfacing with company resources and coordinating long range plans to assure the development of the production assets and personnel. Directly manages first line leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business or Engineering) or related field or directly related year for year experience
  • 3+ years of Process and/or Production experience in a managerial function
  • 1+ year experience with Lean Manufacturing
  • 6 months work experience which includes walking, standing, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, gripping/grasping, bending, squatting/kneeling, twisting/turning, climbing, crawling, reaching above shoulders, typing/keyboard

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in an industrial and/or manufacturing business

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage human resources, materials, and equipment necessary for the daily production and shippingrequirements ofLightning Source customers, including but not limited to, order routing, material requisitioning, shift staffing, and quality control.
  • Coordinate with other Lightning Source departments to resolve customer complaints, handle rush orders, and ensure client needs are met.
  • Oversee and direct supervisors on assigned shift. Approve hiring decisions, write and/or approve evaluations, and assure that accurate attendance/time records are kept.
  • Interview applicants, make hiring recommendations, oversee training and recommend disciplinary measures, as needed, for production and/or distribution staff.
  • Ensure that safety and hazardous material guidelines are followed.
