The Engineering Rotation Program is a training program for college graduates aimed toward accelerated exposure in manufacturing / operations, design engineering, sales & marketing, or supply chain.

The focus of the program can focus on Operations, Design, or Marketing depending on the needs of the company and the interest of the employee.

The program will span a 2 year period and requires relocation to 3 HPS facilities located in the United States. Assignments can be in Leeds (Birmingham), AL, Aiken, SC, Centralia, MO, Lenoir City (Knoxville), TN, Winsted, CT, or Boonton, NJ.

Duties and Responsibilities :

The employee reports to the HR Director for the first two years, but receives day-to-day assignments from local plant management, such as the Engineering Manager.

The employee will be assigned to a variety of tasks under general supervision. Typical projects for an Operations ERP might include participating or leading kaizen events, designing cell layouts, creating work instructions, evaluating equipment effectiveness, fabricating fixtures, creating capital expenditure requests, designing, testing, or evaluating products, conducting time studies, and supervising a manufacturing team.

The Applications focus will provide technical support of customers and our sales team. The Design focus will work on product design and development, but will also learn how product is manufactured.

Typical projects for the Marketing focus might include participating in marketing program design, product marketing, customer support, sales support, pricing, new product development, product installations, and product return evaluations.

Skills and Experience :

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or similar focus.

Ability to relocate multiple times over a 2 year period. (Relocation assistance provided by the Company.) MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

AutoCad or similar software (Inventor, Solid Works, etc.)

Must be a leader and a person who desires a manufacturing leadership role.

Excellent communication skill, orally and in writing.

Education : Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
