As an Order Management Representative, you are a crucial part of the Allegion team, responsible for interacting with external customers via email, phone, and fax and in person to provide superior level of customer service. This position will also work closely with various internal departments including sales, operations, marketing, IT and finance to deliver a positive customer experience while meeting our corporate goals and policies Strive to continually improve the level of customer satisfaction through timely and efficient order processing. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment, this is the role for you. Successful candidates will have some prior experience in Order Entry.What You Will Do:Edit, enter and modify customer orders in the business operating system in an accurate and timely manner, via Fax and email.
Communicate directly with customers both internal and external via phone, fax, email to identify and resolve a variety of issues and inquiries (change orders, price validation, order clarification, pricing programs and policies).
Ensure customer orders are in compliance with Allegion policies and procedures.
Act as consultant to advise basic product application and alternatives.
Gather information for measurement, analysis and reporting for department metrics.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed:High school diploma or GED required.
Manufacturing experience (preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to apply problem solving techniques and attention to detail.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and manufacturing operating systems (AS400) or CRM business systems.
Ability to communicate in a professional, positive, courteous manner at all times with all levels of customers, clients, visitors and employees.
Ability to understand basic customer needs and expectations to provide prompt effective resolution to requests.
Self-motivation with ability to establish priorities and effectively manage time to complete multiple tasks within specified timeframes.
Ability to read hardware templates and/or drawings.
Team player attitude. In addition, you ideally bring an understanding of basic customer needs and expectations, but if not, we will happily provide the training and support you need to be successful!
Ability to pass all required drug screen and background checks.
