In FY2018, Ascension provided nearly $2 billion in care of persons living in poverty and other community benefit programs.What You Will Do As a Specimen Processing Technician Associate with Saint Thomas Health, you will have the opportunity toFacilitate the testing and tracking of specimens.Responsibilities:

Prepare specimens for testing, analysis or shipment to external laboratories. Collects blood specimens from patients following established procedures.

Perform data entry and tracks specimens. Records daily information in required laboratory logs and performs audits.

Maintain specimen handling and testing supplies.

Perform proper disposal of specimens.

What You Will Need Education:

High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required
