Candidates with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical users in an understandable and concise manner while solving complex technical issues will be preferred for the PC Technician opening at Robert Half. The PC Technician Role is a long-term contract / temporary opportunity and will be located in the Memphis, Tennessee region.

What you get to do every single day

- Communicate with ticket submitters effectively and on a regular basis

- Handle all imaging and preparation tasks for new computers

- Help test functionality and support end users

- Own and execute technology implementation projects

- Provide documentation of daily data communication transactions, issues and repairs made or installation activities

- Break down, box and ship old equipment

- Coordinate with the appropriate vendors to arrange repairs

- Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish PCs, laptops, monitors, server, and other computer hardware

- Take down, box, move and set up/install on site

- Ensure the integrity of electronic data records, acting in accordance with company quality standards

- Install printers, and troubleshoot and repair issues

- Handle data transfers from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware along with break/fix

- Track equipment inventory and collaborate on potential purchases

Requirements

- Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds

- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

- Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively

- CompTIA A+ certification required

- Familiar with network design and implementation strategies

- Hardware & software installation experience
