Job DescriptionResponsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and associated operating systems. Responsible for applying proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

  • Knowledge - Extensive experience with software systems, applications, and related products in a Microsoft and/or Linux environment.
  • Extensive experience with core data center systems including MS Exchange Server, MS SQL Server, Active Directory and VMware. Strong knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows 10.
  • Strong knowledge of networks including LANs, WANs and SANs. Extensive knowledge of antivirus software (e.g. Trend Micro, McAfee).
  • Extensive knowledge with patch management software (e.g. Ivanti).
  • Extensive knowledge of server virtualization.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with PowerShell scripting.
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing software systems, applications, and related products in an enterprise class environment.
  • Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general systems management best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting experience. Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge ordinarily obtained through a Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Information Systems, Engineering or related field plus a minimum of 4 to 6 years work; or information system experience or System engineer or equivalent role.
  • Preferred candidates will be certified in one or more of the following technologies – Microsoft, VMware, Red Hat, or Dell Data Center Hardware.
