Job Description: Responsibilities:
  • Expertise with routing design, techniques, and protocols such as BGP.
  • In-depth understanding of public peering, QoS, and traffic engineering.
  • Extensive experience with multi-vendor routing and switching platforms.
  • Experience with network security tools, such as next generation firewalls and IDS/IPS.
  • A solid understanding of the network virtualization landscape along with their supporting technologies.
  • Experience in multi-vendor network security topologies.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience in either an ISP/NSP or CDN environment.
  • Write functional requirements/specifications documents.
  • Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
  • Solve complex problems with many variables.
  • Experience with network automation, and open source tooling.
  • Develop and implement code for network automation solutions to achieve an Infrastructure-as-Code posture.
  • Deploy automation to provision and operate enterprise infrastructure.
  • Partner with network architects to define automation workflows and configuration deployment model.
  • Implement and maintain network monitoring solutions.
  • Work alongside network engineers to assure standardization and reliability of network environments.
  • Develop and automate network capacity planning solutions.
  • Assist with and help automate information collection for periodic audits and assessments.
  • Author documentation and justifications for network reliability solutions.
  • Help research, evaluate, and recommend network technologies.
  • Research, develop and showcase Splunk to support network operations.
  • Guide engagements with vendors and internal teams to drive and deliver network innovations.
  • A DevOps approach, and mentor team members in the areas of monitoring and Networking Tools.
  • Partner with teams to improve CI/CD processes and technology
  • Helping teams in delivering value early.
  • Drive the adoption of observability practices and a data-driven demeanor.
  • Must have substantial experience and knowledge of Splunk toolsets.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining wide area networks with emphasis on IPSec, VPN, and SD-WAN.
  • Experience building distributed systems and highly-available services.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills are critical.
  • Experience with containerized microservice architectures such as Kubernetes.
  • Tool-first attitude.
  • The candidate build tools for yourself and others to increase efficiency and reduce human error.
  • Passionate about organizing, building, improving, resolving, and delivering.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems with speed and efficiency.
  • Analyze, engineer, and execute network element functions.
  • Strong business-customer focus and service skills.
  • A propensity to experiment with emerging Network technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of BGP, OSPF, PIM, Network Security, VXLAN/EVPN, Packet capturing tools, TCP/IP, Linux, QoS, and IPv6.
  • Analyze business requirements to develop technical network solutions and their framework.
  • Design, test, and inspect data communications systems.
  • Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.
  • Develop technology roadmaps.
  • Configure network drivers for software.
Tech Expertise:
  • Excellent in Network Data. Preferably CCIE.
  • Strong Network Security understanding.
  • SD-WAN Viptela.
  • Excellent in Analytics and Automation.
