POSITION SUMMARYThe Operations Manager is responsible for supervising all front-end pharmacy activities and must be actively involved in, and aware of, the Rare Disease and Gene Therapy Therapeutic Resource Center's daily operations. The manager is responsible for ensuring that all pharmacy activities happen timely and in accordance with payer and pharma guidelines. The operations manager is to collaborate with Product, Payer, Account Management, andContracting departmentleaders regarding all operations issues. Ensure source verification of all vendors and customers are performed.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Supervise activities and be actively involved and aware of daily operations. This oversight will include quality review and contingency plans to ensure pharmacy operations are performed in all circumstances

Collaborate with the appropriate staff members within the Product, Payer, Account Management, and Contracting Department to ensure all patients have the necessary approvals for timely treatment.

Review facility level policy and procedures to ensure contents are in alignment with Express Scripts Practice Standards and expectations of external clients

Communicate accurate status to external customers while driving internal operations excellence and quality

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in related field or 11 to 14 years of experience.

5-8 years relevant experience with Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge of pharmacy utilization and medical benefit claims management process highly preferred.

Experience and/or training with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Outlook and Word required.

Ability to succeed in a dynamic, high-pressure environment and develop a culture of ownership and personal accountability.
