Job Description:
The candidate will perform the following duties under the supervision of an individual:
- Tax return preparation including partnerships, c corps, s corps, individuals, and estate tax returns
- Performing technical research and drafting memorandums
- Business and estate planning
- IRS controversy work
- Bookkeeping
The position will require approximately 20-25 hours per week. However, the candidate may choose to work more hours. The candidate can work remotely.
Qualifications:
- Have or be pursuing a B.A. in Accounting/Finance/Economics or related discipline or MBA
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Able to use (or willing to learn) research databases such as CCH, RIA, or Westlaw
- Ability to work independently
- Good oral and written skills
