Required Skills:

3 or more years of experience as an Automation Engineer

In depth scripting knowledge, specifically Shell or Python Scripting

Background with Java Development

Past project experience automating tasks within a server or database environment

Experience with ServiceNow

Experience developing API calls with RestAPI

Excellent communication and organization skills

Experience working with end users depending on ticket escalation

Experience with scripts triggered by the monitoring. They are held in a GIT repository and coordinated through Bamboo (CI/CD tool).

Also trigger Ansible scripts (mainly for infrastructure related scripts).

Description of Role/Responsibilities:

Beacon Hill Technologies in Nashville, TN is currently seeking an Automation Engineer for our client here in the Middle Tennessee area. This person will be joining an enterprise environment and a team that is in the middle of a large application migration project. Our client is seeking an individual that has in depth scripting experience (Python/Shell), a background in basic Java development, and past project experience around automation of tasks within a server environment. This person must have an action oriented mindset when it comes to project/day to days tasks and must also have excellent communication skills as they will be interfacing with end users as well.
